Essential Oils & Carrier Oils

An essential oil is a natural aromatic essences extracted from a single plant species. They are highly concentrated hydrophobic liquid that can be used in pharmaceutical, perfumery, sanitary, cosmetics and beauty products. 

Due to their volatility, they can easily be extracted by the method of steam distillation or expression from different natural sources. But not all plants produce essential oils, and in the plants that do, the essential oil may be found in the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits.
